The KLM has now changed our outward flight, and we have received no e-mail about it (yet). It remains the same date, and almost the same time, and the same seats, but it becomes a larger aircraft and a different flight number.
Who knows what else changes in the next three weeks to our departure.

The reporting about the plans of the Thai government is that those plans are still not final, but everything points out that the Test&Go arrangement no longer returns.
The Thai government is terrified (justified or not justified) for the Omicron variant of the Corona virus, and the government wants to prevent as much as possible for foreign visitors from bringing this variant into this variant.
How the same government deals with residents in border areas with Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia is not clear to us.

Tom in particular has looked at quarantine hotels in the Lat Krabang area, where we will be locked up for 7 days.
Pia suggests the idea to spend that period in Pattaya, probably there is the air a bit cleaner and we expect hotels with more garden.
We have requested information at 3 hotels near Lat Krabang, and 4 hotels in Pattaya. That information comes in slowly.
Pia is calling with Nethai and asks what they can do for us. Two hotels in Pattaya are recommended, we already approached one of them. We feel most for the other hotel, the Green Park Resort. An old friend of Pia, who goes with the same flight to Thailand, alse feels something for that hotel. We request a quote from Nethai.
